A brass slider will allow adjusting up to about 2 inches and is a good idea. A one piece construction will have a smooth surface and is good for formal collars. Grenadines have a textured surface and sliders don't always work smoothly with grenadines.

This bow tie is a modern reconstruction that we made with the help of Jonathan a customer who wanted this for his wedding in France. The original pattern is more than 100 years old and made popular by Charles Baudelaire the poet who was friends with Manet.

100% Satin woven in Italy.
